Open Access Week: Finding and Cleaning Open Data

Open Access Week: Finding and Cleaning Open Data In-Person

Do you need help finding data? Are you unsure about how to actually work with data? In this interactive 50 minute workshop for Open Access Week 2022, we'll cover the basics of open data – what open data is, where you can find open data, and how to clean it. During our time together, we'll be looking at government climate data and learning how to clean it with the open access tool, OpenRefine. No prior experience required.

This workshop is open to all members of the CPP community, but ideal for undergraduate and graduate students. If possible, please bring your own computer to this session. You will need to be able to get systems permissions to download OpenRefine in order to fully participate.

Event 1 of 3 for Open Access Week 2022.
