Latina/o Heritage Month Celebration and Honors In-Person / Online

 

Speaker: State Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) will speak on “The Importance of Public Service”

Honorees: The Senator will also honor two distinguished education leaders at Cal Poly Pomona for their lifelong public service to Latina/o communities.

  • Latina Education Leader: Dr. S. Terri Gomez (Ph.D., UCLA), Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs
  • Latino Education Leader: Dr. Álvaro Huerta (Ph.D., UC Berkeley), Associate Professor, Urban & Regional Planning and Ethnic & Women’s Studies
