Information about participating in our story time

Early childhood students participate in Library Story Times as part of their assignments for the course, Emergent Literacy in First and Second Language Acquisition, this spring. The purpose of this assignment is for students to develop activities that will support young children’s language and literacy development and learning. Students are observed via recorded Zoom lessons by their Cal Poly Pomona professors.

Although the recordings will show everyone in the Zoom windows, the primary focus is on the CPP student's interactions, not on the children and families. All recordings will be kept confidential.

By participating in the Zoom Storytime and Activity, the parent/guardian understands that their child(ren) will be seen on the Zoom recording.
