Lateral Reading Workshop In-Person
In this workshop were going to discuss how to use Lateral Reading, as part of the “SIFT” method to evaluate information.
At it’s most basic, lateral reading means reading what other sources say about the source you’re evaluating. To see if other sources feel that this source is trustworthy, accurate, and possesses the level of resources and expertise necessary to provide the information they’re claiming to provide.
