When Peer-Review Won't Do: Exploring Expertise and Knowledge in Indigenous Cultural Practices In-Person
Are you looking to do research on Native and Indigenous communities? If you are, there are a few things to take into consideration and we are here to help! In this workshop, students will learn how to identify alternative sources outside the realm of traditional academia. Identify credible sources, consider what is appropriate and not appropriate to research, use proper terminology, and learn about leaders and knowledge sources within Native communities.
